Boston Bruins: The Bear & The Gang

Standing at 7-feet tall and riddled with sociopathic tendencies, the Boston Bruins bear has become an icon amongst hockey fans and a legend in Boston. Last seen roaming the halls of the TD Garden enforcing rules of Bruins fandom, this year, we follow the bear’s new adventure — a starring role in his own sitcom, “The Bear and the Gang.”

Set in his home (which is under the seats of the TD Garden in loge section 15), we witness the nonsense that unfolds when the Bear hangs out with players and personalities from the 2011 Stanley Cup Champion Boston. Season 1 of “The Bear and the Gang” features an Introduction inspired by some of the best shows from the 1980’s and two 1:00 episodes full of tomfoolery, starring Bruins winger (and notorious pain in the ass) Brad Marchand, NESN announcer Jack Edwards and mustachioed national-anthem-singer Rene Rancourt, to name a few.
Also, promoting the show were two giant billboards outside TD Garden. Of course, once the show aired, the fanfare and reception was so huge, both posters were literally cut out of the frames and stolen. Which we think is awesome.
